Ultimately, the size of the cake topper comes down the number of letters in the design, the type of font used and the size of the cake. There are many cake topper designers who create their cake toppers to be a set width. This is not always the best option as depending on the font used, the topper can look too big or too tall!
When we first started designing cake toppers, they were too big or too small; now after 10 years of designing cake toppers, we know exactly the right size. All you need to worry about is selecting your cake size and leave the rest to us!
For 7 inch cakes, we recommend a 6 inch cake topper design. It will be slightly smaller, however if you have other decorations on the cake, you won’t notice this.
For 10" cake toppers, we recommend our 8" toppers which work perfectly. The other option, especially if your cake is a slab cake, we recommend our slab cake topper that is designed to lay flat on your cake and has no stake.
